PRINCETON, N.J. – Saturday was a jam-packed day for Temple Women's Track and Field, as the squad was split, sending one group to the Larry Ellis Invitational, while the throwers and the rest of the team went to the Widener Invitational.
At Princeton, the highlight of the day for Temple came in the first event, as the 4x100 meter relay squad set a new school record with its first place finish time of 46.60. Comprised of Isatta Kenneh, DIa Dorsey, Andrea Butler and Gennie Depass, the Owls 'A' squad surpassed a mark of 45.65 set back in 2003.
The majority of Temple's success on the day came at Widener, as an Owl claimed an event title in four events.
Freshman Margo Britton claimed titles in the shot put and in the discus throw at Widener, having first place marks of 49'2.5'' and 149' 11”, respectively.
Senior Alanna Owens placed as the runner up to Britton in both events and claimed the title in the hammer throw with her distance mark of 155'1”. Brittany Weston had a strong throw, as well, landing her disc 138'6”.
Back at Princeton, the 400 meter dash was an event filled with some very solid finishes for the Owls. Ambrosia Iwugo took fifth place in the event with a time of 55.03, ahead of Michelle Davis Timothy in 12th (5656.34), Jade Wilson in 14th (56.65) and Tessa West in 22nd (57.63).

Saudiah Lawrence set a new season-best time in the Triple Jump, having a mark of 37”5”.
Kiersten LaRoche and Brianna Alverez took part in the hepthlon, taking fourth and 10th place finishes.
LaRoche placed first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.10. En route to her fourth place finish, LaRoche placed fourth in the high jump (1.61 m), fifth in the shot put (9.62) and sixth in the 100 meter hurdles.
Alverez had stellar performance in the long jump with her second place mark of 5.62 meters. She also took third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.0 and fifth in the javelin throw with a mark of 27.63.
