Temple Golf in 10th Place after Day One of A10 Championship

CORAL SPRINGS, FL - Temple men's golf is in 10th place after the first day of competition at the 2012 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship which is being held at the par 72, 7, 055 yard Heron Golf Club.
Freshman Paul Carbone leads the Owls, and is tied for 17th overall with a one over-par 73. Junior Devin Bibeau and sophomores Matthew Crescenzo and Russell Hartung were three strokes back and tied for 39th place with rounds of 76. Freshman Mike Amole rounded out the Temple five with an 83.
George Washington leads the 11-team field with a 284. Richmond is one stroke back at 285 and six-time defending champion Charlotte is third with a 286. Xavier is in fourth with a 290 and Rhode Island placed fifth on day one with a 291. Dayton (293), Fordham (295) and Saint Joseph's (298) La Salle (299), Temple (301) and St. Bonaventure (303) rounded out the field.
Play continues Saturday and concludes Sunday.
