Abercrumbie and Weston Compete At Lion Invite; Owls Wrap Up At Penn Relays

EWING, N.J. - With the nation's oldest and largest track and field wrapping up at the 118th Penn Relays, senior Brittany Weston and junior Jeniifer Abercrumbie went to The College of New Jersey to compete in the Lion Invitational.
Abercrumbie had an impressive result in her heat of the javelin throw, placing second with a mark of 25.32 meters (80' 1") for an 18th place overal finish. Later in the day, she participated in the shot put, where she took 18th place with her throw of 10.51 meters (34' 5.75").
Weston competed in the hammer and discus throws, taking 25th and 30th place, respectively.
Completing the Penn Relays, Isatta Kenneh, Dia Dorsey, Andrea Butler and Crystal Hercules finished the ECAC qulifier 4x200 meter relay event in a time of 1:39.74 for sixth place.
For Temple, the regular season of the outdoor season has come to an end and it will now set its sights on next weekend's Atlantic 10 Championships in Amherst, Mass. on the campus of the University of Massachusetts
