Student-Athletes Collect Food for Families

PHILADELPHIA  – On the playing field, Temple and Saint Joseph's student-athletes are fierce competitors. Off the field of competition, they're teaming up to help feed area families during this spring holiday season.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC) of Temple University and Saint Joseph's University joined forces this Easter and Passover season to collect and assemble baskets for a Spring Food Drive.

The baskets will be delivered this week to Guadalupe Family Services in Camden, N.J. The Spring Food Drive goal is to assist local families that are in need of food during the upcoming holidays.

Eight of Temple's athletic teams participated in the food drive.

Guadalupe Family Services (GFS) is a professional social service agency committed to maintaining, strengthening and reconciling the relationships which form the foundation of our community - THE FAMILY. Our goal is to enrich and transform our neighborhood through the collaboration of clinical
