Margo Britton Tabbed A-10 Rookie of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – On Monday, the Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly honor roll for the week of April 2-8. Among the honorees was Temple's Margo Britton, who was named the Women's Rookie of the Week. Britton joins senior Travis Mahoney on the release, as he was named the conference's Performer of the Week on the men's side.
Rounding out the list of honors, La Salle's Meghan McGlinchey were named the A-10's Female Performer of the Week and Charlotte's Jamil Muhammed-Ray was named the Men's Rookie of the Week.
York, Pa, native, Margo Britton, broke a Temple school record in the Shot Put with a mark of 15.06 meters at the Florida Relays on Saturday afternoon. Britton's shot put distance was good for a second-place finish in an event that featured national competition, and broke the previous school record that had been established in 1982.
