Wilson and 4x400 Meter Relay Squad Qualify Event Finals of ECAC Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECAC Outdoor Championships were in full force at William Weaver Track and Field Stadium on the campus of Princeton University on Saturday afternoon, as junior Jade Wilson had an outstanding day for the Owls as her performances earned her qualifying rights into Sunday's event finals. Wilson took sixth place in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.13 before helping Tessa West, Ambrosia Iwugo and Sheina Robert to a season-best time in the 4x400 meter relay. In the event, the Owls qualified for Sunday's final with a fifth place time of 3:42.12.
 
Despite not qualifying for Sunday's events, the Owls did get some strong results from many of their other competitors.
 
West performed in the 400 meter hurdles along with Wilson and earned a 14th place rank, with a solid time of 1:01.46.
 
In the dashes, Iwugo  placed 14th in the 400 meter version of the event in 55.02, while Roberts crossed the finish line just over seconds later (57.09) In the 200 meter style of the event, Isatta Kenneh crossed the finish line in 25.08.
 
Crystal Hercules, Dia Dorsey, Andrea Butler and Kenneh formed the 4x100 meter relay team and fell just a few slots short of a qualifying seed for the finals with their 11th place time of 41.54.
 
Iwugo and the 4x400 meter relay team will join freshman Margo Britton and senior Alanna Owens in Sunday's final events of the ECAC Championships.
