Five Owls To Run At USA Junior Outdoor Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – This weekend, five members of the Temple track & field team will compete in the 2012 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex for a chance to qualify for this year's IAAF World Junior Championships. Top performers will be part of the American team that will compete in Barcelona, Spain from July 10-July 15.
Representing the Cherry & White will be freshmen Margo Britton, Cullen Davis, Jenna Dubrow, Matt Kacyon and Derek Holland.
When the events open on Friday, Britton will be the first to go for the Owls, as she will take part in the discus throw at 5:45 p.m. Later in the weekend, she will also compete in the shot put, which will take place Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
Davis will also compete in the opening day of events, as he will run in the 1500 meter run at 6:00 p.m.
Participating in two events, Dubrow will get her weekend underway in the 5000-meter run on Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. before running in the 3000-meter version on Sunday at 4:45 p.m.
Holland will get Saturday underway for the Owls in the triple jump at 6:10 p.m., while Kacyon will get going in the 3000-meter steeplechase on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
