Marshall Advances To Long Jump Final At Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – Assistant Temple Track & Field coach Shameka Marshall moved one step away from her dream on Friday evening, as she qualified for the long jump finals at the U.S. Olympic Trials, which will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET in Eugene, Oregon.
Marshall placed sixth overall in Friday's long jump preliminary, having her highest mark set at 6.69 meters (21 feet-11.5 inches).
On Sunday, Marshall, who is competing in the Olympic Trials for the third time in her career, will be looking to advance to the Summer Olympic Games for her first time.
