Women's T&F Receives All-Academic Status From USTFCCCA

Owls are one of 171 squads named as an All-Academic team for the 2012 track & field seasons
NEW ORLEANS – In its release that cited the women's track and field scholar teams of the year, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) also announced the women's 2011 Division I All-Academic Track & Field Teams. Temple University was one of 171 institutions to earn the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better. The Owls' indoor and outdoor women's squads reported a GPA of 3.25, tying them with La Salle University for third-highest in the Atlantic 10 Conference, putting them only behind Dayton (3.41) and Massachusetts (3.34).
Duke reported the top cumulative team GPA among Division I women's programs through the spring 2012 semester with a 3.58 tally. Wofford (3.53) and Weber State (3.52) followed at top-three programs.
The women's track & field Division I Scholar Teams of the Year are the University of Arkansas for the indoor season and Stanford University for the 2012 outdoor season.
