Mason Wins Pennsylvania Amateur Championship

SPRINGFIELD, PA - Temple alum Andrew Mason ('11) won his second tournament in the last two weeks, leading by three strokes going into the final day of competition, he went on to win the 99th Pennsylvania Amateur Championship by finishing 5-under 205 Wednesday. The three-day tournament was held at Rolling Green Golf Club.
Mason, a Huntingdon Valley, Pa. native, had previously won the Philadelphia Open at Pine Valley.
Mason will next play in the U.S. Amateur Championship at Cherry Hills in Colorado beginning Aug. 13, where he will be joined by Daniel Charen, who finished second in the Pennsylvania Amateur with a 3-under 207.
