Owls' Men's Tennis Faces Delaware at Navy Blue Invite

TU takes on Blue Hens on second day of round robin flighted tournament
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Temple's men's tennis team was back in action Saturday afternoon, taking on Delaware in the flighted tournament at the Navy Blue Invite. The Blue Hens proved too much to handle for TU, winning all but one flight.
In doubles play, sophomore Kristian Marquart and freshman Hicham Belkssir put up a strong fight against Jason Derene and Nolan Gelman at the second flight, but ultimately dropped a 9-8 (7-1) decision.
In singles play, Temple's only victor was sophomore Hernan Vasconez at the fifth flight. Vasconez dropped just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 straight-set win over Evan Andrews.
The Owls close out the weekend facing the host team Navy 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 9.
