PHILADELPHIA – Three Temple football seniors have been selected to play in All-Star games this month.

Running back Montel Harris (Jacksonville, Fla.) has been selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game® on January 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. (4 p.m. ET on NFL Network).  He will play on the East squad for head coach Jerry Glanville.

Placekicker/punter Brandon McManus (Hatfield, Pa.) has been selected to play in Casino Del Sol All-Star Game on January 11 at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. (7 p.m. on ESPN3).  He will play on the East squad for head coach Dick Tomey.

Offensive tackle Martin Wallace (New York, N.Y.) has been selected to play in the inaugural RAYCOM College Football All-Star Classic on January 19 at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. (1 p.m. ET on CBS). He will play on the Stripes squad for head coach Dan Reeves.

A preseason All-American and a 2012 first-team All-BIG EAST honoree, Harris led the nation with 27 career 100-yard rushing games, including five with TU in 2012.  He led Temple and the BIG EAST in rushing with 1,054 yards and 12 touchdowns on 196 carries on the season.  Harris rushed for career highs of 351 yards and seven touchdowns (both school records and BIG EAST records) at Army.

A 2012 All-BIG EAST honoree at both placekicker and punter, McManus ended his collegiate career as Temple's career leader in scoring (338), punting average (45.4), field goals made (60), and field goals attempted (83).  In 2012, he set the season record for field goal accuracy (82.4) and set game records at Army for extra points made (9) and attempted (9). McManus played in EVERY game of his collegiate career. In 2012, McManus led the Owls in scoring (74) and went 32-of-33 in PAT.  McManus was named to the 2012 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and is the recipient of the 2012 College Football Performance Awards Specialist Trophy as the best overall kicker in Division I FBS.

A 2012 second-team All-BIG EAST honoree, Wallace started all 11 games at right tackle last fall. The team captain was the only returning starter to the O-Line. He also played on the field goal unit. Wallace led the young O-Line in the win over Villanova with no sacks allowed.
