American Women’s Basketball Media Day Set For Monday

PHILADELPHIA – Temple head coach Tonya Cardoza, as well as seniors Natasha Thames (Port Huron, Mich.) and Shi-Heria Shipp (Salisbury, N.C.), will participate in the inaugural American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Media Day on Monday, Oct. 14 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

The conference's website will contain on-demand videos of each head coach and participating players, the preseason poll, and the preseason All-Conference team. All 10 schools will be represented.

Mohegan Sun Arena will host the 2014 American Women's Basketball Championship on March 7-10.

Temple opens the 2013-14 season at cross-town rival La Salle on Nov. 8 in Philadelphia Big 5 action. The Owls' home opener is slated for Nov. 16 with Auburn at 6 p.m. in McGonigle Hall.
