Women's Cross Country Returns to Competition at the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - After three weeks of training without competing, the women's cross country team will be back in action this Saturday, Oct. 5 at the 40th Annual Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.
Forty-eight teams will be running in Temple's division, with the 6k race set to start at 1:00 p.m.
The Owls were last in action at the Friend Big 5 Invitational on Sept. 13. Junior Jenna Dubrow was the Owls' top finisher, placing 24th in a time of 15:06.50. Sophomore Janie Augustyn was next for TU, coming in 40th with a time of 15:57.16.
At last year's Paul Short meet,the team finished 26th overall, marking the Owls' highest finish ever at the event. Dubrow, who had set Temple's record for the best performance by an individual at the meet two years ago, destroyed her own record last year by placing 13th with a time of 22:22.
