Owls Compete at Head of Charles Regatta

Boston, Mass. – Women's rowing heads back to Temple University today after a difficult weekend at the Head of the Charles Regatta. The Owls entered three boats into two races at the Cambridge Boat Club.
In the Club 4+ race, on Saturday afternoon, Temple boats A and B finished in 11th and 15th place, respectively. Temple A boat, led by Kelsey Franks (coxswain), was comprised of Blair Bradley (seat-4), Callista DiGuardia (seat-3), Lea Millio (seat-2), and Emily Opperman (seat-1). The boat finished with a time of 19:39.263. Temple B followed closely behind with a time of 19:49.106. The B boat was comprised of Erin Matz (coxswain), Stephanie Barber (seat-4), Jackie Lees (seat-3), Gina Inverso (seat-2) and Grace Kroner (seat-1).
The Owls next race was Sunday afternoon, with the Champion 8+. The Temple boat was comprised of Eleanor Oken (coxswain), Kara Carson (seat-8). Megan Boyer (seat-7), Sarah Barber (seat-6), Allison Watkins (seat-5), Lauren Kidd (seat-4), Victoria Joye (seat-), Susan O'Neil Coyne (seat-2), and Moira Meekes (seat-1). The boat finished in 39th place to wrap up the weekend.
The Owls return to the Schuylkill River on October 26th for the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta.
