Men's Soccer Earns Weekly Awards from the American Athletic Conference

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Temple men's soccer forward Chas Wilson and goalkeeper Dan Scheck were selected for weekly awards by the American Athletic Conference. Wilson was selected Offensive Player of the Week, and Scheck was put on the Honor Roll for their performance in a 1-0-1 week for the Owls that extended their unbeaten streak to seven games.
Wilson scored the game's only goal Wednesday night at Rutgers, tallying in the 37th minute for the game-winner in a 1-0 victory. Wilson then scored the second goal of the game in the Owls' 2-2 tie at UCF. The redshirt junior is second on the Owls and tied for tenth in The American with four goals on the year.
Scheck made ten saves in the two games in the past week, making five saves in each game. He shut out Rutgers for his conference-leading eighth shutout. He has a goals allowed average of 0.70 and 0.855 save percentage for the year, playing every single minute in net for the Owls.
