Owls' Men's Tennis Takes On Delaware at Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Four Temple men's tennis players closed out competition at the Lehigh Invitational on Sunday, October 6. Hicham Belkssir, Santiago Canete, Nicolas Paulus and Hernan Vasconez took on Delaware in singles and doubles.
In singles play, Belkssir and Vasconez were victorious for the Owls. Belkssir defeated Mike Furr at the third flight, 6-2, 6-4. Vasconez came from behind to defeat Zack Niklaus at number four, 6-7(9), 6-1, 10-5.
In doubles play, Canete and Paulus teamed up at the first flight to defeat Troy Beneck and Adam Lawton, 8-2.
TU will finish up fall play competing at the 2013 USTA/ITA Division I Men's Atlantic Regional Championship, being held at Virginia Tech, October 17-22.
