Snipes Named Assistant Director of Equipment & Event Management

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University Athletics has named Cecilia Snipes as the assistant director of equipment and event management.
She will serve as the Owls' equipment manager for the men's and women's basketball teams and will be involved with event set-up at various athletic events.
Snipes joins the Owls after seven years at Arizona State where she served as the equipment operations coordinator.
"We are pleased to welcome Cecilia to our team. She brings valuable experience and will be a great addition to our department," said Joe Giunta, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Administration.
Prior to working with the Sun Devils, Snipes spent one year at UCLA as the equipment manager. She began her career in collegiate athletics as the compliance coordinator at Florida Atlantic.
Snipes received a bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Alabama A&M in 2000 and a master's degree in sports administration from Northern Colorado in 2004.
Snipes was a two-year letterwinner at Alabama A&M in basketball. She graduated cum laude and was named the 2000 Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Snipes is A.E.M.A. certified. She has worked as an equipment liaison for several BCS bowl games, including the 2007 and 2011 National Championship Game, as well as NCAA Regional games for baseball and softball.
