Men's Soccer Players Selected to NSCAA All-Region Teams

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer players Robert Sagel and Jared Martinelli were selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Northeast Region Team. Sagel earned second team honors while Martinelli garnered a spot on the third team.
Sagel had a tremendous freshman season for the Owls, starting every game at the defenseman position. He had three goals and one assist. He was selected to second-team all-conference and the all-rookie team.
Martinelli was also selected to second team all-conference this year. He was seventh in the conference with 16 points (six goals and four assists).
Sagel and Martinelli were two of 14 total players from the American Athletic Conference who earned all-region recognition. In the Northeast Region, the conference had a total of 10 selections, including Martinelli and Sagel.
