Oliveri's Comeback Leads Her To ECAC Coaches' Choice Award

3.19.13 | Women's Gymnastics

PHILADELPHIA—On the final Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's gymnastics list of weekly honors, freshman Reagan Oliveri has been elected the conference's Coaches Choice award winner for the week of March 18.

Prior to getting her chance to compete this season, Oliveri injured her ankle bone when she made a short landing on a double-back on floor.

After meeting with bone specialist, she learned that the bone wasn't healing as anticipated, causing her to have to delay starting her freshman season for the Owls.

Oliveri proved to make a strong comeback, as she delivered a performance on Sunday on bars, which earned her an impressive score of 9.600.

Oliveri and the Owls will take the apparatuses in their most important meet yet this season, as they head to Cornell for the ECAC Championship Saturday afternoon.
