Owls' Women's Tennis Falls at Cross-City Rival Penn

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple women's tennis team came up against a buzzsaw in cross-city rival Penn on Saturday, March 23, falling to the Quakers, 7-0.
 
The host team took an early lead with the doubles point after claiming the first and third flights. Rebecca Breland and Yana Mavrina were winners at No. 2, 8-7(3), but the point already belonged to Penn.
 
In singles play, it was all Penn. The Quakers won each match in straight sets.
 
Temple (5-9) travels to Fordham for an Atlantic 10 match against the Rams on Sunday, March 24.
