3.28.13 | Softball
PHILADELPHIA – Carrying a 9-14 overall record and a 1-1 mark in Atlantic 10 play into Thursday's game with visiting Charlotte, the Temple softball team looks to build on a three-game win streak. The Owls welcome league rival Charlotte for a 3 p.m. game on Thursday, and another 3 p.m. contest on Friday.
Friday's game will be streamed live on OwlSports.com, and live stats will be available for both games.
The Cherry & White are led by junior Stephanie Pasquale who is hitting .414 on the year, which is sixth among conference leaders. The catcher/designated player has already clubbed 10 doubles this season, increasing her career total to 31, which is good for fifth on the Temple all-time list. With more than half of the season remaining, Pasquale sits just five doubles shy of a TU single-season record.
It has been pitching by committee on the mound with five different pitchers getting a decision. Leading the way is freshman Kelsey Dominik with a 4-1 record and a 2.65 ERA.
After Friday's game, TU remains at home to host Lafayette for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, April 2, beginning at 3 p.m. Live stats will be available.
