Victoria Macaulay Earns Final Big 5 Women's Basketball Player of the Week Award of the Season

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Big 5 has honored Victoria Macaulay of Temple as the Big 5 Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 25-March 3. The award is the final weekly award of the 2012-13 season, and is Macaulay's fourth such award this year.
Macaulay averaged a double-double of 19.5 points and 11 rebounds a game in a 0-2 week for the Owls. She shot 45.9% from the field, handed out six assists, and had five blocks in the two contests. Against Butler, she notched 21 points and 13 rebounds
and followed that up with an 18-point, nine-rebound performance versus Fordham on Senior Day.
The Owls concluded the regular season at 12-17 overall and 5-9 in the Atlantic 10. They have earned the 10th seed in the A-10 Championships, and will face seventh-seeded Xavier in the first round on Friday, March 8. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m., and the first three rounds of the tournament are taking place at Hagan Arena on the campus of Saint Joseph's University.
