Matthews, Teesdale Lead Men's Golf to 3rd Place Tie After Day One of Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - Freshman Brandon Matthews and sophomore Matt Teesdale are tied for second, one stroke behind Yale's Brad Kushner, after day one of the Princeton Invitational Saturday.
The Owl golfers shot identical rounds (69-71) to card two-under par scores of 140 over the first two rounds at the par 71 Springdale Golf Course to help Temple forge a tie for third with Penn with a score of 577. Host Princeton leads the 14-team field with a 570 while Yale is in second, three strokes back with a 573.
Junior Matthew Crescenzo (72-73, 145) turned in a solid two rounds and is tied for 15th place. Senior Devin Bibeau shot identical rounds of 76 and his tied for 37th with a 152. Sophomore Paul Carbone (78-76, 154) rounded out the Owls and was tied for 49th place.
Following Penn and Temple was Columbia (589), Harvard (591), Brown (594), Cornell (598), Dartmouth (601), Navy (603), Saint Joseph's (604), Georgetown (608), Seton Hall (611) and Rider (635).
The final round is schedule to tee off at 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
