Women's Rowing Advances Three Boats to Knecht Cup Finals

Cherry Hill, NJ- The Owls had a solid first day at the Knecht Cup Regatta on the Cooper River. Three Owls boats, the Varsity 4+, and both Varsity 8+, will compete in the final races tomorrow Sunday April 14th.
The Temple Women's Varsity 4+ boat finished 4th in the 3rd heat with a time of 7:56.54. The boat was comprised of Katie Cardwell (coxswain), Blair Bradley (seat-4), Sarah Barber (seat-3), Lily Papaleo (seat-2) and Susan O'Neil Coyne (bow).
Varsity 8+ A was comprised of Kelsey Franks (coxswain), Claudia Loeber (seat-8), Joanna Sutor(seat-6), Jeanine Lees (seat-5), Moira Meeks (seat-4), Jackie Lees (seat-3), Brittany Adell (seat-2) and Emily Opperman (bow) . The Owls finished behind Barry University and West Virginia University with a time of 6:46.26.
The Owls Varsity 8+ B boat finished 6th in the 1st heat with a time of 7:14.62. The boat was comprised of Eleanor Oken (coxswain), Victoria Joye (seat-8), Kara Carson (seat-7), Allison Watkins (seat-6), Megan Boyer (seat-4), Lauren Kidd (seat-3), Annie Buckley (seat-2) and Angela Flinn (bow).
The Owls final races begin tomorrow Sunday, April 14th at 9:20am with the Varsity 4+ Petite Finals.
