Brandon Matthews Named A10 Golf Rookie of Week for Record 8th Time

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University freshman Brandon Matthews was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Golf Rookie of the Week, the A-10 announced on Wednesday. Matthews earns the honor for a conference record eighth time this season.
Matthews was the Owls' top finisher at the eight-team The Century Intercollegiate, helping the Owls place third as a team. He tied for sixth overall with a 151 (75-76), marking the eighth time in 11 tournaments that he has been Temple's top finisher. His 72.6 stroke average leads the team
Temple returns to the greens this weekend at the Atlantic 10 Championship (Apr. 26-27-28).
