#6 Men's Tennis Concludes Season with 4-0 Loss to #3 Charlotte at A-10 Tournament

MASON, Ohio – The Temple men's tennis season has come to a close as the sixth-seeded Owls dropped a 4-0 decision to #3 Charlotte in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Friday afternoon. The tournament is being held in Mason, Ohio, at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
The 49ers made quick work of TU in doubles play, winning 8-0 at the first flight and 8-2 at No. 3 to secure the point.
It was much the same in singles action, starting with a 6-1, 6-2 Charlotte victory at No. 5. Alex Calott made it 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-3 decision at the fourth flight, and the higher seed wrapped up the match when Jack Williams defeated Hernan Vasconez, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1.
The Owls finish the season 8-12 overall.
