Two Second Place Finishes Highlight Bergen/Kelly Cup

Highlights
Philadelphia, Pa- The Temple Women's crew team had a solid afternoon at the Bergen/Kelly Cup Regatta, on the Schuylkill River. The Owls Varsity 8+ A and B place 2nd in the Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ races, respectively, while the Novice 8 boat finished 1st.
Temple's Varsity 8+ A boat, comprised of Kelsey Franks (coxswain), Paige O' Sullivan (seat-8), Claudia Loeber (seat-7), Joanna Sutor (seat-6), Jeanine Lees (seat-5), Moira Meeks (seat-4), Jackie Lees (seat-3) , Brittany Adell (seat-2), and Emily Opperman (bow), finished 2nd, behind Drexel University in the Philadelphia City Championship race. .
The Second Varsity 8+ race featured Temple's Varsity 8+ B. The boat was comprised of Eleanor Oken (coxswain), Victoria Joye (seat-8), Angela Flinn (seat-7), Megan Boyer (seat-6), Sarah Barber(seat-5), Allison Watkins(seat-4), Calista Diguardia (seat-3), Annie Buckley (seat-2) and Kara Carson (bow).
The Owls continued their success with a 1st place finish in the Novice 8+ race, their first win of the season. The Owls boat was comprised of Julia Wolanski (coxswain), Stephanie Barber (seat-8), Kathy Bostion (seat-7), Grace Kroner (seat-6), Emily Leyland (seat-5), Elizabeth Clark (seat-4), Amanda Benton (seat-3), Emily Hedrick (seat-2) and Christina Orse (bow).
The Owls return to action on May 4th in Camden, New Jersey for the Atlantic 10 Championships.
