Britton Places Third In The Shot Put At ECAC Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Margo Britton was the only performer to score points for Temple's women's track and field team at this weekend's ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship. In the shot put event, Britton's fourth attempt landed for 15.39 meters, which earned her third place and six points for her team.

Senior Isatta Kenneh reached the semifinals of the 100 meter dash on Saturday, with her time of 11.98 earned her 15ht place. Looking to advance to the final, she turned in a finish time of 12.13, which was ranked 10th best and just hundredths of seconds of the top eight.

Also just missing an opportunity to gather points for Temple was sophomore Kiersten LaRoche, who tied for ninth place and just outside the top 8, with her mark of 5.68 meters.

Temple's performers will now look to qualify for the NCAA Championships, as they will compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries being held in two weeks at North Carolina A&T.
