PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's rowing graduated five student-athletes yesterday with the Class of 2013. The spring graduates in this year's class include Brittany Adell, Angela Flinn, Jeanine Lees, Claudia Loeber, and Joanna Sutor.
Both Loeber, a photography major, and Sutor, a nursing major, were named to the Temple President's Honor Roll that honors students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Lees, a criminal justice major, was named to the Temple Director's Honor Roll that honors students with a GPA from 3.0 to 3.49.
The five graduates were a part of the rowing team that was honored at the 11th Annual Breakfast of Champions with the Owl Cup, the award given to the team that best exemplified the initiatives set forth by the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program: student-athletes supporting other student-athletes, excelling in and out of the classroom, attending CHAMPS/Life Skill workshops, volunteerism, and the promotion of a healthy and competitive campus environment.
Adell (seat-2), a kinesiology major, joined Lees (seat-3), Loeber (seat-7), and Sutor (seat-6) as a part of the Varsity 8 that competed in the finals of the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta and placed fifth. Flinn (seat-7), a psychology major, was a member of the Junior Varsity 8 that competed in the finals and also placed fifth at the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta.
