Paige O'Sullivan Named Second Team All-Region
5.28.13 | Women's Rowing
PHILADELPHIA - Temple University women's rowing senior Paige O' Sullivan was named to the second team all-Mid-Atlantic Region by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. The honor capped a stellar career for the Owls' varsity eight stroke.
The Somers Point, N.J. native (Mainland Regional) also earned first team all-Atlantic 10 All-Conference accolades earlier in the month. She has been recognized for her outstanding community service during the year as the recipient of the 2013 John Noisette award, which is presented to one Temple University student for their leadership and innovation in the therapeutic recreation field.
In April she was honored for the second straight year at the University's Breakfast of Champions with the Temple Teammates Community Service Award. The award is given to student-athletes who have demonstrated leadership qualities in the area of community service, inspiring others to engage in similar selfless civic endeavors for the purpose of improving the quality of life for those in the local community.
A four-year member of the Temple women's rowing team, including the past three seasons as part of the varsity 8, O'Sullivan, who received her bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation in May, stroked the Owls to a fifth place finish at the 2013 Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta.
