6.17.13 | General

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University Athletics Marketing Department won two National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) awards for work done during the past season. The department won a first-place award for Best Promotional/Schedule Poster (“Last Stand” – Men's Basketball), and won a third-place award for Student Promotion (“Game Face” Campaign).

“It's certainly an honor to be recognized by your peers,” said Scott Walcoff, Associate AD of Marketing/Sales for Temple Athletics.  “We have a great team here at Temple, and both award-winning initiatives were truly collaborate efforts between the Marketing Department and other areas of the University such as the Office of Institutional Advancement, our faculty and the Men's Basketball staff.”

Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Best of Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions.  Awards are presented in 13 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness.  An association record of more than 1,000 awards entries were received for the 2012-13 school year.

The winners were recognized during NACMA's 22nd Annual Convention at the awards ceremony on Friday, June 14 in Orlando, Fla.
