Taylor Wasserleben Joins Temple Women’s Rowing as Graduate Assistant

PHILADELPHIA- Taylor Wasserleben, who was a member of the Temple University women's rowing team (2009-12), has been named a graduate assistant coach with the program, announced head coach Rebecca Smith Grzybowski .
"We are thrilled to have Taylor back with the team in a coaching capacity," said Grzybowski. "She is deeply invested in our progress and success as we strive to create a championship caliber program and she is a great role model and inspiration for our current team members."
The 2012 Temple University graduate coached last season at the Agnes Irwin School where she led the rowing team to success at the Philadelphia City Championship as well as the SRAA Championship Regatta.
During her time as a Temple rower Wasserleben, a consistent member of the Varsity 8, earned four medals at the Bergen/Kelly Cup Regatta as well as two medals at the Atlantic 10 Rowing Championships. In her senior year, she assumed the role of co-captain and earned the Captain's Award as well as Most Valuable Oarswoman. Her time away from Temple was spent as a member of Vesper Boat Club where she was a four-time National Champion in the senior 8+, under 23 8+ and senior 4+ at the USRowing Club National Championships. She also won the senior 8+, the under 23 8+ and the 500m dash at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.
Off the field, Wasserleben, who earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer All-Academic Honors list. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree at Temple University's School of Podiatric Medicine.
