PHILADELPHIA
- With a win over #9/9 Villanova on Saturday, Feb. 1, Temple men's basketball would share the Philadelphia Big 5 title with the Wildcats. The contest is set for 4:00 p.m. at the Liacouras Center, and will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network. Villanova (18-2, 3-0 Big 5) would win the Big 5 outright with a victory, while a win for the Owls (6-13, 2-1 Big 5) would earn them a share of the title.

Coaches Across the Country Raising Awareness for Autism
Coach Fran Dunphy is one of nearly 100 men's basketball coaches throughout the country that will be wearing the "Autism Speaks" pin during Saturday's game. Towson's Pat Skerry and Marshall's Tom Herrion, each who have sons on the autism spectrum, have started a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about this disease.

Headlines

• The Owls are coming off an 88-82 win over Rutgers on Wednesday, a victory that snapped an eight-game losing streak which was Temple's longest since the 1975-76 season.

• Temple is currently the only team in Division I to have four players averaging 14 or more points per game.

• Dalton Pepper tops the team in scoring (18.0 ppg, 3rd AAC), three-pointers (2.9 pg, 1st AAC) and 3-pt percentage (.427, 7th).

• Pepper scored a career-high 33 points vs. #15/16 Cincinnati, hitting eight treys and scoring 27 points in a huge second-half run for the Owls.

• Anthony Lee (14.2 ppg) leads the conference in rebounding (9.1 rpg), and has eight double-doubles on the season.

• Temple will be looking to continue an impressive streak, as the unranked Owls have defeated a top-10 team in each of the last five seasons. In 2009, that top-10 win was at home vs. #3 Villanova (75-65).

• The Owls' top four scorers, who have accounted for 83 percent of the team's points, produced just 26 percent of last year's total points.

• Quenton DeCosey (15.6 ppg, 8th AAC) scored in double figures in the first 18 games of the season before finishing with eight vs. Cincinnati.

• Will Cummings is second on the team and fifth in the league with 16.5 ppg, and has scored in double figures in 15 of 17 games played.

• Temple and Villanova are meeting for the 88th time, with the Owls having won the last two straight and three of the last four.

• Villanova is the only Big 5 team that owns a winning record against Temple. The Wildcats have 44 wins all-time with the Owls at 43.

• Villanova has four players averaging double figures in scoring, led by James Bell and JayVaughn Pinkston with 15.1 and 15.0 ppg, respectively.

• The Wildcats have won two straight and seven of their last eight games. They have lost only to #2 Syracuse and unranked Creighton.
