PHILADELPHIA – For the second consecutive year Temple Golf will host the Temple Invitational at the 6,670-yard par 70 North Course at Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. The two-day event, which will take place this Saturday, October 11th to Sunday, October 12th, will include 13 teams from various conferences.
Philmont's North Course has hosted many prestigious events including the Nike Tour (now the Web.com Tour)in the mid-90s and local qualifiers for the US Open and US Amateur. It is a true classic with tree lined fairways and firm, fast greens.
"The goal is to make the Temple Invitational a showcase event for college golf and to make these young men feel like they are playing in a high quality tournament," said Temple head golf coach Brian Quinn. "We are deeply grateful to be able to host the event at one of the region's best golf courses, Philmont Country Club. Thanks again to Philmont's head golf professional Mickey Sokalski and his staff for all their help as well as the members who have graciously made the course available to us for the weekend."
