Morgan, Coleman Make Men's Basketball Debut Thursday at Delaware

NEWARK, Del. - There will be some new faces for Temple men's basketball fans to get used to starting Thursday when the Owls travel to Delaware to take on the Blue Hens (7:00 p.m./1210 AM WPHT).
Two transfers, senior Jesse Morgan and junior Devin Coleman, will be eligible for the first time with each expected to find their way into head coach Fran Dunphy's rotation. Both Philadelphia natives, Morgan last played at UMass in 2012-13, where he averaged 13.4 points per game prior to suffering a knee injury. Coleman actually played against the Owls last season while at Clemson, and averaged 5.4 points per game before transferring to Temple after the fall semester.
The duo will join a 6-4 Temple team led by the play of senior guard Will Cummings. The Jacksonville, Fla. native tops the Cherry and White in scoring (14.8 ppg.) and assists (3.1 apg.) while ranking second in rebounding (6.1 rpg.). Junior guard Quenton DeCosey is tallying 14.7 points per game and has topped double figures in nine straight contests.
Another transfer, junior Jaylen Bond (6.0 ppg., 6.4 rpg.), who played his first two seasons at Texas, leads the Owls in rebounding. Sophomore Josh Brown (8.2 ppg.) provides the team an offensive spark off the bench.
Delaware, coming off a 25-win season that culminated in a Colonial Athletic Association championship, is winless so far this season after seven games. The Blue Hens are led by sophomore Cameron Hayes (15.4 ppg.) and freshman Kory Holden (11.3 ppg., 3.6 apg.).
The Owls have won the last 18 meetings in the series and own a 38-6 overall mark in games against its former East Coast Conference rival.
