Golf Signs Two Recruits

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University golf coach Brian Quinn announced that two of the best golfers in the Philadelphia area, Gary McCabe and Erik Reisner, have signed National Letters of Intent to attend Temple.Â
"Gary and Erik are not only superb golfers, but exceptional young men who will fit nicely as part of the Temple Golf family," said Quinn.Â
McCabe, a native of Wyndmoor, Pa., is a three-time first team all-Catholic League performer at La Salle College High School. He has compiled a 75.5 stroke average and helped La Salle win three straight Catholic League Championships (2011-13). Â He also won the 2013 IJGT Philly Open for boys 15-19 and tied for fourth in the 2013 Philadelphia Junior PGA Championship.
Reisner, a native of Bryn Mawr, Pa., is a three-year co-captain of the Harriton High golf team. He won the Central League title in 2013 and 2014, and qualified for district tournament 2012, 2013 and 2014. Â He was named second team All-Central his freshman year and was named first team All-Central his sophomore, junior and senior years.Â
