PHILADELPHIA
- Playing one of the nation's toughest schedules, Temple men's basketball continues a tough stretch as the Owls head to #22/24 Memphis on Saturday, Feb. 22 for a 9:30 p.m. (EST) contest on ESPNU. When the teams met earlier this season on Jan. 11 at the Liacouras Center, the Owls were close in the final minutes but lost 79-69.

Headlines
• For the first time in program history, Temple is playing five straight games against teams in the Top 25. The Owls faced four in a row in 1995-96.

• Temple is playing the ninth-toughest schedule in NCAA Division I according to the ESPN RPI rankings.

• Temple is one of only five teams in Division I to have four players averaging 13 or more points per game.

• The Owls' top four scorers, who have accounted for 83 percent of the team's points, produced just 26 percent of last year's total points.

• Dalton Pepper tops the team in scoring (17.1 ppg, 4th AAC), three-pointers (2.7 pg, 2nd AAC), and minutes played (37.0 mpg, 1st AAC).

• Pepper led all scorers with 24 points in the Owls' 71-64 win over #23 SMU on Feb. 16, and was a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line.

• Quenton DeCosey (14.9 ppg, 10th AAC) scored in double figures in the first 17 games of the season and has done so in 22 of 25 overall.

• Will Cummings is second on the team and seventh in the league with 15.9 ppg, and has scored in double figures in 21 of 23 games played.

• Temple and Memphis are meeting for the 12th time and for the second time this season after the Tigers won 79-69 in Philadelphia on Jan. 11.

• Prior to this season, the most recent meeting was almost 14 years ago when Memphis won on March 26, 2002, by a narrow margin of 78-77 in the NIT Semifinals at Madison Square Garden.

• The Tigers, 20-6 overall, have won four of their last five with the lone loss coming in overtime at UConn.

• Senior guard Joe Jackson leads a balanced Memphis scoring attack, averaging 14.8 points per game.
