Owl Club Golf Classic Slated for June 16
3.11.14 | General, Owl Club
Philadelphia – On Monday, June 16 the Temple Owl Club will host its 29th Annual Athletics Golf Classic at the Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. Price per individual for this event is $325, and all proceeds benefit Temple's student-athletes' continued quest for championship excellence – on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
Golfers will have the option to play a morning or afternoon round. The festivities will begin with a breakfast before the first group heads out to the course. Once the first group has returned from play, the golfers will have cocktails and lunch, during which, Temple's own Matt Rhule (Head Coach, Football), Fran Dunphy (Head Coach, Men's Basketball), and Tonya Cardoza (Head Coach, Women's Basketball) will provide insight to their teams' future. Following their remarks, guests are welcome to participate in a question and answer session with the coaches.
Once the first group has finished for the day, the next group will kick off the second half of the event. Those participating in the afternoon round will enjoy a buffet lunch before they take to the course. As soon as the second group has concluded, they will have cocktails and hors d'oeuvres prior to a relaxing dinner that includes a similar speaking program from Coach Rhule, Coach Dunphy, and Coach Cardoza. A live auction will follow the speaking program.
The Athletics Golf Classic has continued its long tradition of success year after year. Last year, the event generated revenue exceeding $70,000. Given that this year's event will run in two separate groups, the Temple Owl Club is looking for an increase in support as to pursue the mission to enhance the experience of Temple's student-athletes.
The Temple Owl Club encourages all supporters of Temple Athletics to come out and mingle with fellow Temple fans and coaches for a relaxing day of golf. To reserve your spot today, call the Owl Club at 215-204-Club (2582) or visit us at TempleOwlClub.com/GolfClassic.
