Women's Tennis Drops 6-1 Match at Penn

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Penn on Saturday afternoon, falling to 4-9 on the season.
In doubles action, the Quakers earned the point with wins at the first and second flights. The host team put the match away with wins in singles play at all but the third flight. Senior Yana Mavrina was the lone winner for the Owls, defeating her opponent at No. 3, 6-2, 4-6, 10-8.
Temple will return to the courts with an 11 a.m. match at Villanova on Sunday.
