Women's Tennis Gets Shutout Win at Villanova, 7-0

VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Temple women's tennis team picked up a convincing win at Villanova on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Wildcats 7-0 at the Villanova Tennis Complex. TU improves to 5-9 with the win, while Villanova falls to 3-7.
Things got going strongly for the Owls early as the squad earned the doubles point with wins at the first and third flights. Rebecca Breland and Dina Karina teamed up at No. 1 to win 8-0, while Alicia Doms and Minami Okajima earned an 8-6 victory at No. 3.
The points kept coming from there as the Cherry & White won three of four singles matches in straight sets, while also earning victories in two matches courtesy of pro-set scoring.
Temple will travel to Rutgers on Friday, March 28 for a 1 p.m. match.
