PHILADELPHIA
- The first-ever BIG EAST Conference game for Temple lacrosse will be played at home on Geasey Field, as the Owls (3-6) host UConn (5-4) on Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a free live webcast of the game (weather-permitting) that can be accessed through the link above.

The BIG EAST Conference...
The Owls' new lineup of conference opponents include preseason BIG EAST favorite and #14 Georgetown. The rest of the BIG EAST slate includes fellow associate members UConn, Rutgers and Louisville along with Villanova, Cincinnati and Marquette. Both Rutgers and Louisville will leave after the 2014 season. Georgetown will serve as the host of the BIG EAST Championships, set for Thursday and Saturday, May 1 and 3. Of the eight teams in the BIG EAST, Temple was picked to finish fifth in the preseason poll.

Home Field Advantage...
The Owls' first four conference games are at home, which has been an advantage for Temple so far this season. The Owls are 3-2 at Geasey Field, most recently earning a hard-fought, 9-8 overtime win against Hofstra.

Familiar Foe...
Temple head coach Bonnie Rosen, now in her eighth season, spent 10 years as the head coach at UConn from 1997-2006. She was the program's first head coach, and one of her recruits was current Temple assistant coach Jennifer Wong. Wong was a goalkeeper for the Huskies from 2001-05, helping the Huskies to a 2005 ECAC Championships and a top-15 national ranking. Wong has faced UConn as a coach during her time as an assistant at Rutgers, but for Rosen it will be the first meeting against her former team.

Tabor Third in the BIG EAST in Scoring...
Senior Jaymie Tabor has been scoring at a rapid pace to lead the Owls, and her 18 goals (2.57 goals per game) currently rank third among all players in the BIG EAST Conference. She scored six of those goals in the Owls' 10-8 win vs. Oregon, reaching the six-goal mark for the third time in her career. She has scored at least one goal in all seven games she has played in after missing the season opener and one other contest due to injury. She notched a hat trick at Cornell before scoring twice in Temple's 12-9 loss at Denver. Tabor recorded her third hat trick of the season with three goals in a close, 11-9 loss at UMBC on March 22.

Scouting UConn...
The Huskies have won four straight, with three of those wins coming by a single goal. Two of UConn's four losses were to ranked teams (#10 Boston College and #12 UMass). Sophomore Katherine Finkelston leads the Huskies in scoring with 22 goals, while senior Lauren Kahn leads the team in total points with 13 assists to go with 18 goals.
