Men's Golf Places Seventh At Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - Junior Matt Teesdale shot the best round of the day for Owls, a two-under 69, while sophomore Brandon Matthews finished tied for fourth overall to lead Temple men's golf to a seventh place (of 15 teams) showing Sunday at the Princeton Invitational.
Teesdale, who the day tied for 53rd with teammate Evan Galbreath, moved up 23 spots to tie for 30th overall with a seven-over 220. Matthews recorded an even par 71 on the final day at the 6,390-yard Springdale Golf Club course to complete his 209 total.
Senior Matthew Crescenzo was next for the Owls, compiling a 10-over 223 (74-73-74) to tie for 42nd overall. Galbreath matched his best round of the tournament (74) and finished with a 225 to place 49th while junior Mike Amole (78-72-83) tied for 72nd.
Harvard won the tournament with a 832, 37 strokes ahead of the Owls (869), while the Crimson's Akash Mirchandani topped the leaderboard with an eight-under 205.
Temple next competes at the Wolfpack Spring Open, April 19-20.
