Women's 4x400 Meter Relay Narrowly Misses Finals at ECAC Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - By just one one-hundredth of a second, Temple's 4x400 meter relay team missed out on qualifying for the finals at the ECAC Championships. The Owls had three individuals and two relays competing on the second day of the meet, which concludes on Sunday.
Hollis Coleman, Demeshia Davis, Kenya Gaston and Michelle Davis Timothy made up the 4x400 relay, which placed second in their heat and ninth overall with a time of 3:45.38.
The Owls did not fare as well in the 4x100 meter relay, taking 19th in the prelims for that event.
Freshman Jimmia McCluskey placed 13th in the long jump with a mark of 5.40m. Sophomore Jamila Janneh, the school record-holder in the triple jump, will compete in that event on Sunday.
Davis and freshman Bionca St. Fleur finished 32nd and 36th, respectively, in the 200m dash. Junior Kiersten LaRoche, who competed in four heptathlon events on Friday, was unable to finish the final two events on Saturday.
