PRINCETON, N.J. - Sophomore Jamila Janneh sent Temple women's track and field out on a high note at the ECAC Championships, breaking her own school record while finishing sixth in the triple jump.
Janneh's previous record was 12.30 meters, set back on March 28 at Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational. Her jump today surpassed that mark by four and half inches, as she won her flight and placed sixth overall with a mark of 12.40 meters (40' 8.75").
The Owls have now concluded competition for the weekend, and will wait to see if any athletes qualify for the NCAA East Region Preliminary in two weeks.
