Matt Teesdale's Run at U.S. Amateur Comes to an End

JOHNS CREEK, GA - Temple's senior Matt Teesdale lost to Georgia Tech's Ollie Schniederjans, 6 & 5, Wednesday in match play at the  114th U.S. Amateur Championship.
Teesdale, who tied for 32nd overall to be among the 64 golfers to advance to match play, was making his first appearance in the tournament.
Schniederjans, the world's top-ranked amateur and the runner-up at the 2014 NCAA Men's Golf Championship, advances to play LSU commit Sam Burns, who posted a 2-and-1 victory over Matt Nesmith.Â
