Men's Soccer Concludes Preseason with Scrimmage Against Rider

AMBLER, Pa. – Temple men's soccer played its final scrimmage of the preseason against Rider on Saturday afternoon at Ambler Sports Complex. Robert Sagel scored the only goal for the Owls on a penalty kick in the first half.
Dinho Zwane drew the penalty kick that Sagel took. Using his speed Zwane went around his defender near the right corner, just nearly staying in bounds, and then was tripped up by a defender in the box.
The starting line-up consisted of three seniors (Jonah Williams, Dan Scheck and Willie Chalfant), one junior (Jared Martinelli) four sophomore (Sagel, Donovan Fraser, Stefan Mueller, Matt Mahoney), and three freshmen (Felipe Liborio, Olli Tynkkynen and Dinho Zwane).
The Owls kick off their season next Friday at home against Drexel at 4:00 p.m.
