NEWARK, Del. - The streak ended on Friday night with a 2-0 loss at Delaware. The Owls drop to 7-1 while the Blue Hens improve to 4-4.
Temple played a close first half with Delaware as the half ended 0-0. The Blue Hens found themselves in the second half as Natalie Zelenky scored twice in the 79^th and 87^th minute of the game.

Temple ended the game with 4 total shots. Kayla Cunningham placed two shots on goal and Shauni Kerkhoff had five saves in the game.

"I got to do some work on our tactics," said head coach Seamus O'Connor. "We had a great first half, but the second half I got to do a better job adjusting to the other team's adjustments. Delaware was a very organized team and did a great job attacking. Hopefully we will regroup and respond on Sunday."

Temple closes out the weekend Sunday when it travels up to city rival La Salle. The game is of much significance with LaSalle being a city rival. The game will begin at 3:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.

The Owls hold an 8-9-2 all-time record against the Explorers. The teams' last match-up was on Oct. 28, 2012 at Ambler Sports Complex, which resulted in a 0-0 tie.
