Temple Golf Unveils New Team Van

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Golf team unveiled a new team van Friday evening at a preseason gathering. The custom-made Mercedes Sprinter van, fully funded by donor gifts, will be used for the Owls' collegiate tournaments.
The van is designed for members of the golf team to maximize their time while traveling. The captains chairs are equipped with fold out desks to allow the golfers a space to work and stay current on their school assignments.
"It is really important for our guys to be the best they can on and off the course. This golf program puts emphasis on being great student athletes," said Temple head coach Brian Quinn. Beyond aesthetics, the van delivers safety, security and comfortability.
Temple University Golf program has been fortunate to have such strong support. "I want to thank all of the people who made this possible by their generosity," said Quinn.
Friends of Temple Golf who stepped forward to make this possible included Robert and Susan Fahey, Aaron McKie, Michael and Debbie Coslov, Jim and Carolyn Elliott and Brian and Stephanie Quinn.
The van will hit the road this weekend as the Owls open the 2014-15 season at the Harford Hawk Invitational.
