Golf Places 4th After Day One of The Quechee Club Invitational

QUECHEE, VT - Senior Matt Teesdale carded an even-par 72 to tie for seventh overall in leading Temple to fourth place after the first day of competition at the The Quechee Club Invitational held at the Quechee  Golf Club Saturday afternoon.
The Owls, as a team, shot an eight-over 296, which was seven strokes behind co-leaders Hartford (289) and Harvard. Â Cornell (295) was one shot ahead of Temple and in third place while Princeton and Dartmouth B were three back and tied for fifth with 299s. The rest of the 11-team field included Penn (300), UConn (302), Dartmouth (303), Brown (312) and Fordham (321).
Teesdale, who was four back of the leader, Hartford's Paul Pastore (-4), was followed closely by teammates Brandon Matthews and Pat Ross, who each shot two-over 74s. Freshman Evan Thornton (76, t30th) and junior Liam Fahey (78, t42nd) rounded out the TU quintent.Â
The tournament concludes Sunday.
